The Logistics Coordinator at Wavepoint3pl plays a crucial role in maintaining precision and productivity in the allocation of inbound shipments to designated loading bays while delivering outstanding service to drivers and other guests. This position also involves overseeing the distribution of tasks to warehouse personnel, monitoring essential performance indicators, and aiding in invoicing processes. The incumbent will uphold quality standards and ensure exceptional service to all visitors at the facility. The Logistics Coordinator is tasked with all administrative functions that support receiving, warehouse management, shipping, and billing operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive comprehensive training on the Warehouse Management System (WMS) and grasp all necessary functions within the warehouse office, including relevant reports and documentation.
- Accurately log incoming shipments, verifying the manifest and trailer number against the driver’s sign-in.
- Designate incoming shipments to the correct loading bay and warehouse staff.
- Precisely log outgoing shipments against the driver’s sign-in.
- Examine outbound documentation and allocate outgoing loads to the appropriate loading area.
- Thoroughly prepare all necessary paperwork for incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Provide essential information requested by customers through various communication channels.
- Convey task assignments to warehouse personnel as required.
- Oversee reporting duties related to warehouse operations.
- Assist accounts receivable in accurately billing customers for services rendered.
- Demonstrate a strong customer-centric approach, effective planning, time management, problem-solving abilities, and timely communication skills to support departmental functions.
- Maintain qualifications to perform tasks within warehouse operations, including operating forklifts and executing packaging and office responsibilities as needed. Dedicate a portion of weekly hours to executing productive tasks to enhance skills and support the team.
Qualifications:
- Education and Experience:
• High School Diploma or GED is preferred. - 1-2 years of experience in a warehouse setting is preferred.
- Ability to be trained on the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including problem-solving, active listening, and conflict resolution.
- Flexible availability is essential.
- Excellent decision-making and problem-solving capabilities.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills with the ability to establish rapport with diverse workgroups.
- Superior verbal and written communication skills, along with data analysis and supply chain interpretation abilities.
