Job Overview

Position Summary: The Golf Shop Merchandiser plays a vital role in ensuring the seamless operation of the pro shop, providing exceptional service to members and guests while maintaining a well-organized retail environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare the shop for daily operations and uphold its condition throughout the day.
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of all merchandise displays.
  • Welcome and assist members and guests upon their arrival at the golf shop.
  • Oversee special orders and manage invoicing processes.
  • Keep track of inventory levels and ensure adequate stock.
  • Enhance and expand corporate merchandise sales initiatives.
  • Promote and manage e-commerce platforms effectively.
  • Possess knowledge of club activities, policies, and operational hours.
  • Assist members with inquiries regarding club operations.
  • Collaborate with the golf operations team to support shop management.
  • Handle phone inquiries professionally, addressing golf operation needs.
  • Assist in managing customer flow in a fast-paced environment.
  • Perform additional tasks as directed by the Head Golf Professional.
Qualifications:
  • Experience with Jonas Retail Software is advantageous.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, along with strong communication abilities.
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills are essential.
  • Familiarity with sales and marketing strategies.
  • Proficient in computer applications including Excel, Word, and Outlook; Jonas experience preferred but not mandatory.
  • Ability to create engaging promotional content for social media platforms.
