Job Summary:

Maxim Healthcare Services is seeking skilled nurses for private duty homecare positions in Norfolk, Virginia. The ideal candidate will have a current Nurse License for the state in which they practice, a current PPD or Chest X-Ray, and a current BLS card. One year prior Nurse experience is preferred. The job requires enteral feeds, tracheostomy care, and ventilator management skills. The schedule is flexible, with full-time, part-time, day, night, and rotating shifts available. The pay range is competitive, with LPNs earning $26-$32 and RNs earning $35-$40 per hour.

Responsibilities:
  • Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
  • Assess signs and symptoms indicating physiologic and psychosocial changes in the patient's condition.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret data and information from healthcare members and document actual and/or potential nursing diagnoses.
  • Document the patient's plan of care using identified nursing diagnoses, expected patient outcomes, and selected nursing interventions.
  • Perform interventions according to identified priorities, plan of care, and hospital policies and patient care outcome standards.
  • Revises the plan of care according to evaluation, changes in medical plan of care, and effective/ineffective nursing interventions.
  • Use clinical judgment in evaluation activities to meet patient care needs of an assigned unit/floor, including establishing priorities.
  • Other RN or LPN duties as assigned.
