Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist Assistant to join our team at Ephrata Hospital. As an Occupational Therapist Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our interdisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct specific treatment programs for individual patients at an entry to intermediate level.
  • Carry out a program of routine motor activities and activities of daily living for assigned patients, as determined by evaluation performed by the Occupational Therapist.
  • Assist the Occupational Therapist in administering specified portions of the standard evaluations and elicit information regarding existing skills and capacities.
  • Coordinate occupational therapy activities in collaboration with the other members of the interdisciplinary team to facilitate achievement of established goals.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations set forth by the regulatory agencies and state governing bodies.
Requirements
  • Associates Degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant Studies or related field.
  • Less than 1 year of relevant experience.
  • Licensed Occupational Therapist Assistant upon hire.
  • Basic Life Support upon hire.
Working Environment

This role requires standing, walking, and sitting for extended periods. The Occupational Therapist Assistant will also be required to carry and lift patients, as well as push and pull equipment. The working environment may involve exposure to bloodborne pathogens.
