The primary focus of the Supervisor role is to ensure the effective management of site-specific activities essential for the successful completion of construction projects. This encompasses a variety of responsibilities including planning, budgeting, scheduling, and overseeing inventory management. At Garrett Construction, we foster a collaborative environment where every team member contributes to problem-solving and enhancing project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and coordinate all construction activities related to the project.
- Collaborate with the Project Management Team to ensure project success.
- Guide field personnel to complete projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, supervising all phases until completion.
- Identify potential challenges and provide effective solutions to maintain project timelines.
- Conduct inspections to ensure compliance with contractual agreements and local regulations.
- Manage all necessary municipal inspections and coordinate with utility companies.
- Facilitate site testing and inspections as agreed with project stakeholders.
- Work closely with Project Engineers and Managers to ensure timely material reservations and deliveries.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with all personnel, contractors, suppliers, and municipal representatives.
- Promote a culture of safety on the job site, addressing hazards immediately.
- Commit to an Injury-Free Environment through proactive actions and mentorship.
- Document daily site conditions, subcontractor activities, and any incidents affecting the project.
- Lead weekly subcontractor meetings and provide bi-weekly progress reports to the Project Management Team.
- Participate in monthly progress meetings with the Project Management Team and subcontractors.
- Provide training and development opportunities for field personnel to ensure project success.
- Maintain an organized job site and construction office.
- Encourage a positive work atmosphere that fosters professional growth.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by The Garrett Companies.

- Proven experience managing multiple construction projects.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities.
- Strong foresight and anticipation skills.
- A collaborative spirit, with a willingness to support all team members.
Travel Requirements:
This position involves travel to various active project sites within a designated region.
