Regulatory Affairs Attorney

We are seeking a highly experienced Regulatory Affairs Attorney to join our Clinical R&D Legal team. The successful candidate will provide strategic legal and business advice to support the advancement of AbbVie's pipeline and delivery of innovative products to patients.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of laws and regulations impacting clinical research and development in the EU region, with a focus on Italy. They will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, and negotiating agreements related to clinical studies and collaborative research, as well as providing expert guidance on R&D legal and regulatory matters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating clinical study and collaborative research agreements
- Providing expert guidance on R&D legal and regulatory matters in the EU region, with a focus on Italy
- Collaborating with internal business stakeholders, regulatory teams, and third-party partners to advance clinical assets
- Developing and reviewing patient informed consent forms for use in clinical research
- Conducting training sessions on R&D legal and regulatory issues for client groups
Requirements:
- A law degree and professional licensing requirement applicable in the European Union
- At least 5 years of experience advising on R&D clinical legal issues, including clinical trial design, in the EU region with a focus on Italy
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate and manage risk
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with partners at all levels
- Proficiency in Italian and English
