Position Overview:

The Registered Nurse is responsible for delivering personalized, goal-oriented nursing care by utilizing the nursing process and adhering to the principles of primary nursing, in alignment with departmental and institutional policies and procedures. This role involves providing support to physicians in various patient-related tasks, which include continuous EKG monitoring, administering medications, managing IVs, facilitating oxygen therapy, and performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized nursing care based on patient needs and clinical protocols.
  • Assist physicians during procedures and ensure patient safety and comfort.
  • Monitor patients continuously and respond promptly to any changes in their condition.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations.

Qualifications:

  • ASN degree or Nursing Diploma is mandatory.
  • A minimum of one year of clinical nursing experience is essential.
  • Current RN licensure in Florida is required, along with BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association.
  • Additional certifications such as RCIS, RCES, or equivalent must be obtained within 18 months of employment.
  • Proven clinical proficiency in critical care nursing, along with relevant knowledge and skills.

This position may require flexibility in scheduling, including the possibility of working over 40 hours per week and being on-call as necessary. The nurse may also need to remain on-site during severe weather events or emergencies.
