Job Title: Histology Technologist

We are seeking a skilled Histology Technologist to join our team at Ansible Government Solutions, LLC. As a Histology Technologist, you will play a critical role in supporting the Fresno VA Medical Center by preparing and staining slides for microscopic examination.

Responsibilities:
  • Stain slides using routine, immunostain, and special stains
  • Prepare a wide variety of special stained slides requiring complex and delicate processes
  • Perform tissue tests, including sectioning with a clinical microtome
  • Perform routine and multiple staining of tissue sections, including careful timing and counterstaining
  • Label slides for final microscopic examination
  • Perform administrative tasks, such as maintaining records and answering telephone inquiries
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited institution
  • ASCP professional certification or equivalent nationally-recognized Histology Technologist certification
  • Minimum of three years of experience within the last three years
  • Experience in U.S. Government facilities is preferred
Requirements:
  • Sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders during the work shift
  • Lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist
  • Lift up to 20 lbs
  • Carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance
  • Push/pull with 30 lbs of force
