Production Planning Manager

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, deploy, and manage the Production Schedule within MRP system to effectively meet customer contract manufacturing needs
  • Establish, manage, track, and monitor inventory levels
  • Develop a strategic materials management strategic plan
  • Manage, train, coach, and appraise performance of 1-5 direct reports.
  • Review and analyze data to identify areas of opportunity for process improvement.
  • Manage the collaboration between Planning, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, Engineering, and Administration departments.
  • Establish and maintain consistent and effective communication between stakeholders regarding potential production bottlenecks, material delivery delays and inventory shortages.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree (BS) or professional certification in Materials Management or equivalent
  • 5 years of related experience working in a material manufacturing environment and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • CPIM certification desired, but not required.
  • Strong leadership skills with a minimum 2-3 years' experience directly managing employees.
  • Working knowledge of ISO9001 / ISO13485 QMS, and FDA manufacturing requirements.
  • High level of proficiency with using MRP Systems, Microsoft Office Suite and Project Management Software.
