Job Summary and Qualifications
The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) is responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-focused care and overseeing all operations within the unit during their designated shift. Working closely with the management team, the CNC directs, assesses, and evaluates nursing care in line with established protocols, serving as a resource for staff and embodying the organization's mission and values to enhance patient experiences and clinical outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitates admission and discharge processes to promote efficient patient flow and high-quality care.
- Engages in continuous evaluation of patient care services in collaboration with management.
- Fosters teamwork among staff and management to improve service and outcomes.
- Embraces a patient-first philosophy and addresses service recovery as needed.
- Contributes to staff engagement initiatives by implementing current nursing strategies.
- Participates in the recruitment, selection, and training of new staff, and recommends actions for performance management.
- Oversees staff scheduling and manages labor resources in accordance with patient care needs.
- Assists in maintaining inventory control and managing supplies and equipment.
Qualifications:
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification.
- Registered Nurse license in the state of South Carolina.
- Prior experience as an RN in an Emergency Room setting.
