Job Title: System Engineer

GradBay is seeking a talented System Engineer to join our team in Plano, TX. As a key member of our IT department, you will design, implement, and maintain our messaging and collaboration platforms.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and deploy enterprise messaging and collaboration platforms, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration across the organization.
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability of messaging services.
  • Manage email security, spam filtering, and archiving solutions to protect our organization's data.
  • Implement and enforce policies for secure messaging and collaboration tools, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize and improve messaging and collaboration workflows, enhancing productivity and efficiency.
  • Maintain system documentation, configuration, and operational procedures, ensuring easy access to critical information.
  • Provide technical support and training to users on messaging and collaboration platforms, ensuring a smooth user experience.
  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in messaging, communication, and collaboration solutions, driving innovation and growth.
Requirements:
  • Associate degree or above in an IT-related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of technical experience in a related field.
  • Strong understanding of email protocols (SMTP, IMAP, POP3), and DNS management.
  • Hands-on experience with PowerShell scripting for automation and administration.
  • Proficiency in cloud-based collaboration platforms, such as Microsoft Teams and SharePoint.
  • Experience with email security solutions, such as anti-spam, DLP, and email encryption.
  • Knowledge of backup, disaster recovery, and high-availability configurations.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills with a strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
