Position Summary

The ideal candidate for the Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician role is a proactive and skilled professional with expertise in both electrical and mechanical troubleshooting. This position is essential for maintaining our manufacturing equipment effectively.

Key Responsibilities

Essential duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Executing all maintenance tasks related to assigned areas, including predictive and preventive maintenance.
  • Utilizing problem-solving skills to mitigate failure impacts.
  • Collaborating with team members and fostering a supportive work environment.
  • Engaging in root cause analysis and implementing sustainable solutions.
  • Submitting proposals for improvements and executing related tasks.
  • Maintaining accurate records through the Computerized Maintenance Management System.
  • Providing training and support to operators.
  • Responding promptly to maintenance requests and issues.
  • Installing and aligning new machinery as required.
  • Documenting maintenance activities, including labor hours and preventative maintenance findings.
  • Working alongside operations and maintenance teams to prioritize maintenance needs.
  • Contributing to production and quality objectives while minimizing waste.
  • Adhering to safety and environmental policies and participating in safety initiatives.
  • Applying basic problem-solving techniques to eliminate failures.
  • Willingness to learn and apply Electrical and Instrumentation skills.
  • Availability to work weekends, holidays, rotating shifts, and overtime as necessary.
Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a highly automated manufacturing setting.
  • Proficient in both electrical and mechanical maintenance.
  • Familiarity with hand and power tools.
  • Ability to interpret manufacturing specifications and work instructions.
  • Experience with industrial electricity, mechanics, refrigeration, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
  • Basic computer skills, including knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems.
  • Experience with pumping and conveyor systems.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and program PLCs.
  • Detail-oriented with strong communication skills.
  • Team player with excellent interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree or equivalent from a technical school.
  • Two to three years of related experience.
Physical Demands

This role requires regular standing, walking, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance. Specific vision abilities include close vision and peripheral vision.

Working Environment

Employees may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, high places, and various chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is typically moderate to loud.
