Job Responsibilities

As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for the safety and security of the facilities you protect. You will act as a visible deterrent to crime and client rule infractions, detect and report suspicious, unsafe, or criminal acts at or near your assigned posts, and maintain proficiency in the use of all assigned protective equipment, restraint devices, and weapons.

You will also:

  • Ensure the facility is provided with high-quality security services to protect people and property.
  • Report safety concerns, security breaches, and unusual circumstances both verbally and in writing.
  • Preserve order and enforce regulations and directives for the site pertaining to personnel, visitors, and premises.
  • Monitor closed-circuit television systems and alarms.
  • Build, improve, and maintain effective relationships with client employees and guests.
  • Answer questions and assist guests and employees in a professional, welcoming manner.
  • Patrol the facility on foot or in a vehicle.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must:

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Meet any applicable state, county, and municipal licensing and permit requirements for Armed Security Officers and specific protective device and weapons qualifications.
  • Have intermediate computer skills to operate innovative wireless technology at client-specific sites.
  • Be able to work in various environments, including adverse outdoor conditions.
  • Remain flexible to ever-changing environments and adapt well to different situations.
