Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team at the Metropolitan Transportation Authority. As an Assistant Electrical Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting the design, development, and maintenance of electrical systems for our buses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support for low voltage and high voltage systems, including hybrid and all-electric bus systems.
  • Assist with the design, development, and testing of electrical machinery, including alternators, voltage regulators, and starters.
  • Conduct research and investigations to ensure compliance with specifications and standards.
  • Create and maintain technical drawings and schematics using CAD software.
  • Assist in component failure analysis and writing technical reports.
  • Perform data inquiry and analysis using server databases and MS Excel.
  • Maintain and update group databases and SharePoint sites.
  • Assist in writing specifications and technical procedures.
Requirements
  • Baccalaureate degree in electrical or electronic engineering from an accredited college.
  • One year of full-time satisfactory experience in electrical engineering work.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of computer applications, including Microsoft Office.
  • Proficiency in CAD software.
Desired Skills
  • Knowledge of engineering principles applied to equipment.
  • Familiarity with automotive systems.
  • Experience in a public transit environment.
