We are seeking a skilled Cardiovascular Technician to join our team at Ascension. As a Cardiovascular Technician, you will play a critical role in assisting with procedures to analyze, diagnose, and treat the cardiovascular system.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with procedures to analyze, diagnose, and treat the cardiovascular system.
- Prepare patients for procedures, reviewing medical history, positioning patients, and cleaning/shaving/testing sites as appropriate.
- Interpret, describe, and report test results, recognizing recording errors and artifacts and reacting accordingly.
- Monitor patients prior to, during, and after procedures, promptly reporting any abnormal findings in patient condition.
- Prepare and maintain equipment, supplies, and lab areas, ensuring equipment is properly functioning and reporting potential problems or malfunctions to appropriate personnel.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and orderly department.
- BLS Provider obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
- One or more of the following: Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist, Cardiographic Tech, Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography, or Cardiac Sonographer, credentialed from the respective organizations.
- Preferred Credentials: Advanced Life Support or Approved Local Exception.
- Education: High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree, or Technical degree required.
- Work Experience: None required.
- One year of Cath Lab or Interventional Radiology Experience.
- One year of recent experience as a Cardiovascular Technician.
- Travelers must be willing to travel 50+ miles from permanent residence.
