Job Summary

This role involves performing diagnostic and therapeutic radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures under the direction of a radiologist or physician. The technologist will work independently, applying ionizing radiation for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes.

The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, including the operation of diagnostic imaging equipment and computers. They will also be knowledgeable about radiation safety measures and emergency procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform procedures proficiently and maintain high quality
  • Assist radiologists and/or physicians with invasive procedures
  • Prepare and administer contrast materials
  • Prepare rooms for procedures and maintain adequate supplies
  • Ensure proper radiation safety measures are utilized
  • Know and implement emergency procedures as needed
  • Perform department and hospital related computer functions

Requirements

  • Graduate of an approved school of Radiologic Technology
  • 1 year experience in interventional radiology, cath lab, or diagnostic radiology
  • Registered in primary modality within 18 months
  • ARRT registered
  • SCRQSA certification
  • BLS certification
