Job Description
A Packaging Inspector - Order Fulfillment Specialist is responsible for ensuring the accurate and efficient fulfillment of customer orders by arranging inventory in shipping containers and preparing for shipment. Key responsibilities include:
- Interpreting order invoices to determine which items need to be shipped
- Cleaning, inspecting, weighing, labeling, and packaging finished products
- Performing quality control assessments to ensure products meet quality standards
- Stacking items safely and securely in the correct packaging
- Weighing, sealing, and labeling all products with accuracy
- Assembling daily orders by combining multiple components
- Following work orders to produce a single product
- Adhering to department SOPs and work instructions
- Meeting customer standards
- Restocking inventory using a Kanban system
- Inspecting incoming inventory and storing it correctly on warehouse shelves
- Packaging products to meet quality requirements
- Inspecting shipping containers to ensure adherence to shipping regulations
- Completing necessary documentation, including records of packages, invoices, and shipping information
- Cleaning shipping containers and other supplies
- Ensuring all equipment and work areas are kept clean and free of clutter
- Reporting inventory, packing, or inspection issues to the Supervisor

Work Environment
The Packaging Inspector - Order Fulfillment Specialist will work in a fast-paced warehouse environment, requiring the ability to stand for extended periods, walk, reach with arms and hands, stoop, kneel, crouch, and touch. The role involves light to moderate lifting (50lbs or less) and exposure to loud noise, working in a factory setting, confined areas, airborne powder (non-toxic), and moving mechanical parts.
