Regent University's College of Arts and Sciences is actively seeking a dedicated and passionate full-time, tenure-track Lecturer in Political Science. This role is set to commence in Fall 2025 at the Virginia Beach campus. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering foundational courses in American Politics, alongside advanced classes focusing on the Legislative Process, the American Presidency, the American Judicial System, and Constitutional Law.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach undergraduate courses in American Politics and advanced political science topics.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to students, particularly those involved in moot court activities.
  • Engage in scholarly research and contribute to the academic community.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of American political history and thought, demonstrating a commitment to the principles that underpin American governance.

Qualifications:

  • A Ph.D. in Government or Political Science, or a combination of a JD and an MA in Government or Political Science.
  • Proven excellence in teaching within the field of political science, along with a demonstrated potential for scholarly contributions.
  • Experience in coaching or participating in moot court is highly desirable.

Expectations:

  • Commitment to Christ-centered education and learning.
  • Record of or potential for academic research and publication.
  • Ability to effectively teach undergraduate courses.
  • Proficiency in utilizing online instructional technologies.
  • Alignment with the College and University’s mission and values, including a commitment to a statement of Christian faith.
