Job Summary:

The Certified Pharmacy Technician plays a vital role in providing pharmacy services, including preparing pharmaceuticals, performing inventory control, compliance audits, and financial transactions, while delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining accurate pharmacy records.

This position works collaboratively as part of an interdisciplinary patient care team, under the direction of the Pharmacist, to ensure seamless delivery of patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Receiving and verifying the accuracy and authenticity of prescriptions
  • Reviewing and recording patient information with their prescription in compliance with guidelines
  • Providing instructions to educate patients on the correct way to take their medication
  • Supporting the Pharmacist in daily pharmacy operations
  • Protecting employees and patients by adhering to infection-control protocols and policies
  • Performing other duties as assigned
Requirements:
  • High School Degree or GED
  • Valid ExCPT Certification or PTCB certification and registration with State Board of Pharmacy
  • Previous experience in Retail, Ambulatory, Outpatient, Hospital, Acute Care, or Home Infusion Pharmacy (preferred)
