Job Title: Surface Maintenance Technician
This is a National Guard job opening for a Surface Maintenance Technician. The position is located in the Joint Forces Headquarters-State, Logistics Directorate (J-4), Surface Maintenance Facility. We are looking for an experienced mechanic to perform maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting on a variety of combat, tactical, commercial, and special purpose vehicles and equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoots, performs maintenance and major repairs on heavy-duty mobile equipment, combat, tactical and automotive vehicles.
- Makes repairs to assemblies and components such as voltage regulators, generators/alternators, brake cylinders, etc.
- Performs work in accordance with modification work orders, technical manuals, lubrication orders, maintenance bulletins, regulations or management policies.
Estimated Salary: $70,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. The salary includes a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of military and civilian projects, gaining valuable experience and skills in your field.
Requirements:
- Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience as a mechanic or in a related field.
- Must have a valid driver's license and be able to operate heavy equipment.
- Must be able to pass a background check and obtain a security clearance.
