About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at Soliant Health. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will play a vital role in providing speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorder services to students in a school setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assessment and Diagnosis: Conduct comprehensive assessments to diagnose speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders in students.
  • Treatment Planning: Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each student's needs and goals, with a focus on improving speech, language, communication, and swallowing abilities.
  • Therapy Services: Provide direct therapy services to students, including speech, language, and communication therapy, as well as swallowing disorder treatment.
  • Progress Monitoring: Regularly monitor and document student progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Education and Collaboration: Educate students, parents, and other healthcare professionals on speech-language disorders, therapy techniques, and strategies for improvement, while collaborating with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
  • Professional Development: Stay current with advancements in the field of speech-language pathology and incorporate evidence-based practices into clinical work.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and timely clinical records and reports, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
  • Education: Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Certification: Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), or eligibility for certification.
  • Licensure: State licensure or eligibility for licensure in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Experience: Previous clinical experience, particularly in diagnosing and treating speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders, is preferred.
  • Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with students, parents, and healthcare team members, as well as compassion, patience, and empathy for individuals with speech and language challenges.
