Key Responsibilities:
As the Clinical Pharmacy Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily clinical and operational functions of the Pharmacy Department. Your role will include:
- Planning, managing, and evaluating the activities of Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians.
- Ensuring optimal patient care through a clinical lens and organizational perspective.
- Serving as the Residency Program Director (RPD) for our PGY-1 Residency, focusing on the program's development and maintenance.
- Providing mentorship and guidance to Pharmacy Residents and College of Pharmacy students.
Quality Assurance:
Your leadership will ensure quality outcomes by coordinating performance-improvement initiatives, collaborating with informatics teams on medication utilization projects, and managing the pharmaceutical supply chain to guarantee the availability of necessary medications.
Regulatory Compliance:
You will ensure adherence to regulatory and accreditation standards, including those pertaining to the residency program. Your responsibilities will also involve:
- Assisting in the development and maintenance of an approved formulary.
- Coordinating with the P&T Chair on meeting agendas, reports, and minutes.
- Administering performance evaluations for assigned pharmacists.
Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate will embody the qualities of a servant leader, providing support and mentorship to the pharmacy clinical staff while ensuring the delivery of safe and compassionate care to patients. A PharmD or Bachelor's degree from an accredited Pharmacy program is required. Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred.
