Job Title: Registered Dental Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Dental Assistant to join our team at Wilson County Government. As a key member of our dental team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our licensed dentists in delivering high-quality dental services.

Job Summary:

Under the direct supervision of a licensed dentist, you will perform procedures designated under the scope of practice for a registered dental assistant, including certification for exposing and developing radiographs. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting and caring for patients during dental procedures
  • Preparing operatories with necessary instruments and supplies
  • Performing four-handed chairside assisting
  • Providing post-treatment care and education to patients
  • Measuring and recording vital signs
Key Responsibilities:

As a Registered Dental Assistant, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing patient education on proper oral hygiene procedures
  • Communicating effectively with peers and subordinates
  • Developing and maintaining constructive working relationships with colleagues
  • Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and Tennessee Department of Health guidelines
  • Inspecting equipment and materials to ensure compliance with expiration dates
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you must possess:

  • A current registration as a dental assistant in the State of Tennessee with Dental Radiology Certification
  • A valid driver's license
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
