We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Environmental Health and Safety Intern to join our team at Allegion. As an EHS Intern, you will play a critical role in assisting our Site EHS team to advance site EHS programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development and implementation of EHS programs and initiatives
  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative industrial hygiene sampling programs
  • Update and improve plant-wide recycling programs
  • Work with web-based safety training for employees and contractors
  • Conduct EHS-related audits, including haz-waste, LOTO, confined space, process safety, stormwater, LASER safety, and rack inspection
  • Record retention program updates
  • Act on items from internal and external audits/inspections

Requirements

  • Pursuing a degree in Environmental Health and Safety or a related field
  • Completion of Junior year at start of internship
  • Demonstrated leadership ability and initiative
  • Strong analytical skills and comfort with complex data analysis
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Effective listening, time management, and creative problem-solving techniques
  • A desire to learn, grow, and develop by working on projects that impact Allegion's business and customers

Compensation

This is a paid internship with a competitive hourly rate. The expected base hourly range is $25-26. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
