About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Distribution Driver Class B to join our team at Southern Glazer's Wine & Spirits. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for delivering products to clients across the state, ensuring timely and safe transportation of goods.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver products to bars, restaurants, hotels, and other customer locations, adhering to all safety regulations and company guidelines.
  • Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections on vehicles, ensuring they are in good working condition.
  • Receive payment for goods delivered and sort merchandise by invoice for delivery.
  • Adhere to the safe and courteous operation of the delivery vehicle at all times, following all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Check-in money and returned goods daily with the Driver Check-in & Accounting Cashier.
  • Complete all required paperwork daily, including the Department of Transportation logbook and driver vehicle inspection report (DVIR).
  • Report to work in adherence to company uniform standards, maintaining a neat and clean appearance.
  • Adhere to all Safety regulations, performing all duties in a safe manner.
  • Plan trip logistics and obtain necessary documents to transport goods, ensuring cargo is secured properly and compliant with safety requirements.
  • Load and unload cargo, utilizing safety equipment as needed.
  • Report any incidents to the dispatcher and maintain vehicle, product, and equipment tidy and in good working order.
Requirements
  • 1 year of experience in a similar role.
  • Must be 21 years of age.
  • Class B Commercial Driver's License required.
Physical Demands
  • Physical demands include a considerable amount of time walking, bending, reaching, standing, squatting, and stooping.
  • Additional hours may be required during peak periods.
  • Capable of working flexible hours, including overnight, early morning, and/or late evening shifts.
  • May require lifting/lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 56lbs.
