About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Hospice Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team at Heartland Hospice, a member of the Gentiva family. As a Hospice Aide/ Certified Nursing Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and support to individuals and their families in their homes.

Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care and assistance with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Assist patients with ambulation and transfer to and from beds, wheelchairs, and other equipment.
  • Prepare and serve light meals and snacks, and assist with feeding patients as needed.
  • Perform light housekeeping tasks, such as emptying trash and changing linens.
  • Document patient care and progress in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Attend staff meetings and participate in quality improvement activities.
Requirements
  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license.
  • 6 months of patient care experience in hospice, home health, ICU, geriatric, or oncology.
  • Current driver's license and automobile insurance.
  • Current CPR certification.
