We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team as a Substitute Registered Nurse. The successful candidate will provide health care services to students and staff in a school setting.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide case management activities, developing and implementing plans of care for students with chronic diseases who require specialized nursing care and monitoring while at school.
- Direct health care of students and staff who are injured, need first aid, suffering from chronic illnesses or require supervision of their medication(s) while at school.
- Provide nursing physical examinations, assessments, and evaluations of students, including vision and hearing screenings, weight management, scoliosis screenings, blood pressure screenings, and screenings for communicable diseases.
- Refer students and parents to appropriate healthcare resources within the community.
- Collaborate with the building principal and teachers to make recommendations for implementation of health services for individual students.
- Maintain immunization records, implementing policy on exclusion and readmission with the guidance and support of the building principal.
- Assist in developing school health programs, including home visits, parent education classes, and classroom teaching of dental and hygiene programs.
- Active Arizona Registered Nurse License in good standing.
- Current CPR Certification.
