Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Director of Nursing Services in planning, organizing, and directing daily operations of the Nursing Department, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as facility policies.
Qualifications:
  • Current CPR Certification or willingness to obtain within two weeks of hire.
  • Interest or knowledge in therapy, rehabilitation, restorative care, activities of daily living (ADL), splinting, and range of motion (ROM) programs.

Essential Functions:
  • Review and update departmental policies, procedures, and job descriptions annually, making recommendations to the Director of Nursing.
  • Ensure compliance with established policies and procedures, including dress code.
  • Assist in creating individualized care plans for each customer, addressing their specific needs.
  • Participate in care plan conferences and family council meetings as needed.
  • Address and report any concerns or complaints from customers or their families to the Administrator.
  • Conduct regular meetings with nursing staff to identify and resolve issues and enhance service quality.
  • Assist in the recruitment and selection of nursing staff with the Director of Nursing's approval.
  • Support the Director of Nursing in scheduling and assigning work to ensure adequate staffing levels.
