At Florida Rehab Professionals Group, Inc., we are seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist Specialist to join our team. This part-time/full-time position offers a competitive salary of $40-$50 per hour and is ideal for individuals who are passionate about working with children.

About the Role

This role is responsible for conducting initial interviews, performing testing or evaluations, determining diagnoses, providing counseling, making referrals, and overseeing the work of speech-language pathology assistants. The successful candidate will have strong communication skills and be able to work effectively with clients, families, and other healthcare professionals.

The Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist Specialist will also be responsible for devising treatment plans based on assessment findings and implementing them in a way that meets pre-established goals. This may involve working with clients who have difficulty speaking, hearing, or swallowing, as well as those with developmental delays or disabilities.

We value bilingual candidates, particularly those fluent in English and Spanish, as they will be able to communicate more effectively with our diverse client base.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct initial interviews with clients and their families
  • Perform testing or evaluations to determine diagnoses
  • Determine or discuss specific diagnoses with clients or make statements regarding prognosis or levels of proficiency
  • Relate or discuss reports from other professionals or related services with clients or consumers of services
  • Provide any interpretation or elaboration of information contained in reports written by the licensee
  • Implement treatment programs designed by the licensee to meet pre-established goals
  • Record, chart, graph, or display data relative to client performance
  • Report changes in client performance to the licensee having responsibility for that client
  • Prepare clinical material and test equipment
  • Participate in research projects, in-service training, public relations programs, or similar activities as planned, designed, and directed by the licensee
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Communication Disorders or related field
  • SLP/SLPA License required
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively with clients, families, and other healthcare professionals
  • Bilingual (English-Spanish) preferred
