We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) to join our team at Aveanna Healthcare. As a Private Duty Nurse LPN, you will have the opportunity to provide high-quality, one-on-one care to patients in the comfort of their own homes.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering and coordinating quality patient care in compliance with physician orders. This will involve continuously observing and assessing patient condition and care needs, documenting all activities and assessments, and participating in the development and implementation of the nursing care plan.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver and coordinate quality patient care in compliance with physician orders
  • Continuously observe and assess patient condition and care needs
  • Document all activities and assessments
  • Participate in the development and implementation of the nursing care plan
  • Provide education to patients and families regarding disease process, self-care techniques, and prevention strategies
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Current, unrestricted state license as a Licensed Nurse in the state of practice
  • Current CPR certification
  • Demonstrated proficiency in clinical assessments, documentation, and compliance with nursing care and policies and procedures
Preferred Qualifications
  • Six (6) months of recent experience as a Licensed Nurse in a clinical care setting
  • Home health experience
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to speak, write, read, and understand English
  • Must be able to travel
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds
  • Must be able to sufficiently reposition patients and move equipment without assistance
Work Environment
  • Must be able to function in a wide variety of environments which may involve exposure to allergens and other various conditions
  • Possible exposure to blood, bodily fluids, and infectious diseases
