We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Master Carpenter to join our team at Creative Cabinets and Fine Finishes. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading and mentoring our carpentry team, ensuring the highest quality of workmanship and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with our sales team and project managers to understand project requirements and deliverables.
- Lead and mentor carpenters of varying skill levels, providing guidance and support to ensure successful project completion.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and deadlines to meet customer expectations.
- Oversee kitchen and bathroom remodeling projects, ensuring accurate measurements and quality workmanship.
- Verify dimensions and check the quality of cabinetry components to ensure specifications are met.
- Establish specifications for cabinets to be constructed or repaired, and fabricate or assemble components to meet customer requirements.
- Measure and mark dimensions of parts before cutting, ensuring a tight fit and quality product.
- Cut timber to the correct size and shape, and trim parts of joints to ensure a snug fit.
- Trim, sand, or scrape surfaces or joints to prepare cabinets for finishing.
- Match materials for color, grain, or texture, and install crown molding, light rail molding, doors, drawers, knobs, pulls, and other hardware with precision.
- Operate and maintain all relevant tools and machines, including hand routers, saws, stationary equipment, and power hand tools.
- Set up, program, and operate the CNC Cut Center, and train other team members on its use.
- Clean and arrange the work area after each day's work, and store items in an orderly and accessible manner.
- Maintain equipment and work areas, and perform related duties as assigned.
- 5+ years of carpentry experience, with a focus on cabinet fabrication and installation.
- Excellent understanding of carpentry techniques and methods of installation and construction.
- Extensive knowledge of power tools and ability to accurately use measuring devices.
- Ability to read and understand job instructions, and read CADs to translate them into fabricated products.
- Good verbal and written communication skills, and a willingness to learn and adapt to new situations.
