Job Summary

Broward County Public Schools is seeking a highly qualified JROTC Instructor to lead and manage the Junior Reserve Officer's Training Corps program. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, establishing, delivering, and maintaining an active JROTC program that embodies the highest standards of military science.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement curriculum that aligns with military regulations, state statutes, and school board policies.
  • Recruit, train, and supervise JROTC staff and cadets to ensure a high level of performance and achievement.
  • Collaborate with school administrators, teachers, and other stakeholders to integrate JROTC with other academic programs.
  • Manage program budgets, resources, and logistics to ensure effective operation.
  • Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness, making adjustments as needed to ensure continuous improvement.
Requirements
  • Master's degree from an accredited institution in a relevant field, such as education or military science.
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of military service, with a rank of E6 to E9, CWO1 to CWO5, or O3 to O6.
  • Successful completion of specialized training programs for JROTC or experience in administering or teaching educational programs in military service.
  • Notarized copy of military discharge or official separation papers and verification of education and instructional experience.
  • Computer skills as required for the position.
