Job Opportunity

Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to support our clients in modernizing their IT infrastructures and meeting their most challenging missions.

As a DevOps engineer, you will work closely with cloud architects and engineers to manage server configuration for modern cloud solutions. You will apply your skills within a DevOps framework to establish or provision virtual machines or networks and use cloud service providers to further your clients' meaningful missions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver infrastructure as code
  • Experience with cloud technology in a professional work environment
  • Writing scripts and glue to tie automate services, functionalities, and tools using technologies, including Python scripting, Bash, Boto3, JSON, or YAML
  • Experience with Cloud providers, including Amazon Web Services or Azure
  • Experience with containers and container management solutions, including Docker, Kubernetes, or Helm
  • Interpreting the logs and alerts of complex systems to identity, address and troubleshoot issues
  • TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
  • HS diploma or GED
  • Ability to obtain Security+ CE, SSCP, CCNA-Security, or GSEC certification within 6 months of hire

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience with Software Development
  • 3+ years of experience with building large-scale enterprise solutions, including security concerns, high availability methods, multiple platforms, network design, monitoring solutions, and performance
  • Experience with developing and deploying automation services for continuous monitoring and observability with tools, including Kibana, Elastic, or Splunk
  • Experience with Terraform
  • Experience with building, delivering, or managing solutions within classified cloud environments provided by the C2S or C2E programs
  • Experience with DevOps and DevSecOps for build and release pipelines
  • Knowledge of establishing enterprise-wide Data Platform architecture, frameworks, design, and development standards
  • Bachelor's degree in technology
  • Kubernetes Application Developer or Kubernetes Administrator Certification
  • Security+ or Cybersecurity Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $75,600.00 to $172,000.00 (annualized USD).
