Job Title: Housekeeping Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented and physically fit individual to join our team as a Housekeeping Specialist at the Bounds Family YMCA in Daphne, AL.

Job Summary: The Housekeeping Specialist is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and sanitization of assigned areas, including duties such as mopping, dusting, and trash removal. This role may also involve completing tasks related to window washing, meeting setup, groundskeeping, and other related responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Clean and sanitize assigned areas, including but not limited to restrooms, common areas, and offices.
  • Maintain upkeep of assigned area and equipment, including reporting any needed repairs.
  • Operate related motorized and non-motorized equipment.
  • Record and report all needed repairs.
  • Ensure the YMCA building and property is secure during shift.

Qualifications:

  • Six months or more of related experience preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents.
  • Knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment.
  • Basic understanding of the upkeep and care of equipment.

Estimated Salary: $12-$15 per hour based on experience.
