Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Meat Clerk to join our team at Harris Teeter. As a key member of our meat department, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, processing and stocking products, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide outstanding customer service by responding to customer inquiries, resolving issues, and exceeding customer expectations.
  • Process and package products according to company standards, ensuring accuracy and quality.
  • Stock and maintain a clean and organized meat department, including unloading stock and reloading salvage.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of products, including meat cuts, cooking methods, and nutritional information.
  • Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in a retail or food service environment preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
