Job Title: Senior Human Resources Director

Cleveland Clinic Health System is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Human Resources Director to lead our Southern Ohio Region. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing HR strategies that align with our organization's goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and direct HR practices related to employee and labor relations, management consulting, talent development, change management, integration, workforce planning, policy administration, and performance management.
  • Support our Southern Ohio Region, including Mercy Hospital, Akron General Medical Center, Akron Lodi Community Hospital, Union Hospital, and Medina Hospital.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with leaders and managers to ensure consistent application of HR deliverables.
  • Provide timely, effective, and reliable communication to ensure HR Directors and HR Generalists are appropriately educated and informed of organizational initiatives and expectations.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 10 years of functionally relevant HR experience, including 5 years of demonstrated management experience.
  • OR master's degree in Hospital or Healthcare Administration plus 7 years of experience.
  • Possesses critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to operate a computer, audio/visual, and other office equipment.
  • Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information, including ability to deliver applicable training in person and virtually.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree or Juris Doctor degree.
  • PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or other professional HR certification.
  • 5 years of hospital-based experience, demonstrating a basic understanding of hospital roles, operations, finance, and communications.
  • Experience with bargaining union negotiations.
