About the Role
This Heavy Equipment Maintenance Specialist position involves the removal and reinstallation of equipment serviced in our shop, including electric motors, pumps, and gearboxes. The successful candidate will be responsible for utilizing basic rigging skills to safely move equipment, performing precision alignment of rotating equipment, conducting mechanical diagnostics, and working on existing equipment in customer facilities.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Remove and reinstall equipment such as electric motors, pumps, and gearboxes.
  • Utilize basic rigging skills to safely move equipment on and off foundations and transportation means.
  • Perform precision alignment of rotating equipment using dial indicators and laser alignment equipment.
  • Conduct mechanical diagnostics on operational equipment using vibration analysis, physical inspection, and visual examination.
  • Perform in-place repairs and field maintenance on existing equipment in customer facilities.

Essential Requirements
A minimum of 2 years of experience in mechanical environments is required for this position. Heavy experience with motors, gearboxes, pumps, etc., is necessary for consideration. Additionally, familiarity with industrial safety environments, knowledge of rigging practices, and the ability to meet physical requirements are essential. The ideal candidate should possess good communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Basic computer skills and the ability to complete written reports are also necessary.
