Job Title: Travel MRI Technologist

Focus Staff is seeking a highly motivated and energetic MRI Technologist to join our team of traveling professionals. As a Travel MRI Technologist, you will have the opportunity to work with a variety of clients and patients, utilizing your skills and expertise to provide high-quality diagnostic imaging services.

Job Summary:

The Travel MRI Technologist will be responsible for operating magnetic resonance imaging equipment to produce cross-sectional images of patients' bodies for diagnostic purposes. This will involve placing specified coils close to the area of interest, operating imaging and other equipment devices, and keying in data on the keyboard of the camera to photograph images.

Responsibilities:
  • Operate magnetic resonance imaging equipment to produce cross-sectional images of patients' bodies for diagnostic purposes.
  • Place specified coils close to the area of interest.
  • Operate imaging and other equipment devices to provide high-quality diagnostic services.
  • Key in data on the keyboard of the camera to photograph images.
  • Interview patients to explain magnetic resonance imaging procedures and address patient concerns.
  • Ensure patient and staff safety by explaining safety protocol, requesting removal of hazardous metal objects, and monitoring patients via closed circuit TV.
Requirements:
  • Have two (2) years of regular (twenty (20) hours or more per week) continuous recent experience as a MRI Technologist.
  • Be fully proficient in all the duties required of a MRI Technologist II.
  • License in required state.
  • BLS.
  • Must be fully proficient in MRI and have knowledge of the required protocols in performing complex MRI procedures.
  • Effective oral and written communications skills.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other incumbents of the organization.

The Travel MRI Technologist will work in a variety of healthcare settings, including hospitals and imaging centers. The work environment will be fast-paced and dynamic, requiring the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
