Job Title: Lecturer of Arabic Language and Literature
Job Summary: Binghamton University seeks a qualified Lecturer of Arabic Language and Literature to join its faculty. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching language courses in Modern Standard Arabic (MSA) at all levels using the "Al-Kitaab" series.
Responsibilities:
- Teach language courses in Modern Standard Arabic (MSA) at all levels using the "Al-Kitaab" series.
- Develop and implement curriculum to meet the needs of diverse students.
- Assess student progress and provide feedback.
- Participate in departmental and university service.
Requirements:
- MA in any Arabic Studies related field including language, linguistics, literature, translation, and foreign language education.
- Native or near-native competence in Arabic and English.
- At least one year of experience and demonstrated success teaching Arabic as a second language to diverse students at the university level using the "Al-Kitaab" series.
