Neonatal Nurse Specialist for Maternal Child Health

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Neonatal Nurse Specialist to join our Maternal Child Health team at Kaiser Permanente's Walnut Creek Hospital.

About the Job

This is a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic and patient-centered environment, providing exceptional care to newborns and their families. As a Neonatal Nurse Specialist, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, evidence-based care to patients in our Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).

About the Role

We are looking for a seasoned RN with a strong background in neonatal care, who possesses excellent clinical and communication skills. As a valued member of our team, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing individualized care to patients and their families
  • Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
  • Conducting thorough assessments and evaluations to identify patient needs and develop targeted interventions
  • Documenting patient care and progress in a timely and accurate manner
  • Participating in ongoing education and professional development to stay current with best practices in neonatal care
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must possess:

  • A current RN license in California
  • At least one year of recent experience in a Level III neonatal nursery or completion of a KP NICU Training Program
  • Basic Life Support and Neonatal Resuscitation Program certifications
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care

Estimated Salary Range:

$120.3 per hour
