Mobile Construction Supervisor

The ideal candidate will oversee a construction team for a new initiative in the southern region of the United States. Devier Enterprises, LLC is seeking a qualified individual who is willing to travel. This role includes benefits such as phone allowance, Per Diem, and vehicle allowance, in addition to the agreed salary.
Key ResponsibilitiesThe Supervisor is accountable for the daily management of a job site, which encompasses scheduling, production, and the procurement of materials, labor, and equipment. The role includes supervising all direct labor positions on the assigned project and managing any contracted work to ensure successful project completion.
- Analyzes specifications to develop procedures for construction based on starting and completion timelines and staffing needs for each construction phase, utilizing knowledge of available tools, equipment, and various building techniques.
- Collaborates with the Project Manager to establish the project schedule; develops and employs "look ahead" schedules to evaluate progress and identify potential issues.
- Facilitates the pre-construction meeting with the Project Manager before mobilization.
- Directs the procurement of tools and materials to ensure timely delivery in alignment with work schedules.
- Ensures all stakeholders are informed about construction matters and progress: (1) meets with and guides supervisory personnel engaged in planning and executing work procedures, interpreting specifications, and coordinating various construction phases to avoid delays; (2) regularly meets with craft personnel to update them on construction issues and gather input for solutions; (3) meets with subcontractors prior to their mobilization to review the scope of work and schedule; and (4) meets consistently with clients to provide updates on the project's status.
- Consults with supervisory and engineering personnel and/or inspectors and suppliers of tools and materials to resolve construction challenges and enhance construction methods.
- Inspects ongoing work to ensure compliance with specifications and construction schedules.
- Manages the project based on progress reports, materials utilized, and costs, adjusting work schedules as necessary.
- Collaborates with the project manager in the preparation of the Project Management Plan.
- Ensures adherence to company policies, including safety protocols and equal opportunity standards, consistently across the board. Maintains company quality standards and housekeeping requirements.
- Performs additional related duties as assigned.
- Demonstrates a solid understanding of construction processes.
- Possesses a valid driver's license and is able to travel to project sites.
- Understands and correctly applies building codes and design requirements, and accurately reads blueprints.
- Exhibits a strong understanding of subcontractors' scopes of work and tolerances.
- Possesses effective written and verbal communication skills: articulates ideas clearly and effectively; employs proper grammar and syntax. (Basic Spanish preferred)
- Exhibits strong administrative skills: monitors the progress and coordination of work activities; keeps other team members informed of progress and challenges.
- Demonstrates effective management skills: establishes techniques to proactively monitor and supervise the work of subordinates and follow up on the results of delegated tasks.
- Maintains integrity: upholds the normal standards of ethics, conduct, and organizational policies in job-related activities.
