Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our interdisciplinary team at Lakeview Specialty Hospital and Rehab. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will play a critical role in evaluating, diagnosing, and treating cognitive and communicative skills, swallowing efficiency, and other related disorders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients to identify cognitive and communicative deficits.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address swallowing efficiency and other related disorders.
  • Provide consultation and education to patients, families, and healthcare professionals to promote carryover and generalization of acquired skills.
  • Document patient progress and treatment outcomes according to discipline and program standards.
  • Assume responsibility for supervision and co-supervision of Speech Language Pathology students as assigned.
  • Conduct job duties in a manner to ensure the safety of patients, families, and staff.
  • Support Lakeview Specialty Hospital and Rehab's standards, philosophy, mission, and policies and procedures.
  • Provide family, patient, and staff education as necessary to promote optimal outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • Skill, Knowledge and Abilities:
    • Knowledge of brain injury, neuropsychological, and cognitive/communicative deficits and how to treat and evaluate.
    • Physically, mentally, emotionally, and legally capable of fulfilling all job requirements.
    • Ability to communicate both in writing and orally.
    • Proficient in the EMR Welsky within 90 days of hire.
  • Education:
    • Master's in Speech Language Pathology or related field (i.e., Communication Disorder).
  • Licensure:
    • Temporary or permanent licensure by the state of Wisconsin Dept. of Regulation and licensing and CPR certification.
  • Experience:
    • Willing to consider both experience and new graduates. Pay will be based on experience.
