Job Description:

The Box Truck Driver is responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient transportation and delivery of Woodcraft products. This position requires a high level of customer service, as drivers interact with customers on a daily basis.

Responsibilities:
  • Receive direction from supervisors and notify them when more work is needed.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the work area, tools, and equipment.
  • Follow all safety procedures, rules, and guidelines, and report any existing or potential safety issues to supervisors.
  • Assist in other work areas when workload permits or requires.
  • Work effectively as part of a team to achieve production standards.
  • Accurately and thoroughly complete all documentation related to this position.
  • Monitor product quality and reject items that do not meet standards.
  • Participate in scheduling and routing with supervisors.
  • Conduct regular safety and maintenance checks on trucks and trailers.
  • Perform routine maintenance on units as required.
  • Report maintenance problems to the Maintenance Department and schedule outside maintenance as needed.
  • Maintain the appearance of vehicles through regular washing.
  • Operate forklifts as needed.
  • Loading and securing loads safely and logically.
  • Ensuring compliance with highway regulations.
  • Locating delivery points and communicating with customers about delivery locations.
  • Assisting with unloading and obtaining necessary documentation from customers.
  • Forwarding documentation to Quanex office.
