About the RoleThe successful candidate will provide direct nursing care to our residents under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. This includes assessing and evaluating residents' needs, coordinating nursing services, and administering medications as ordered by physicians.
Responsibilities- Ensure that all residents receive high-quality care and are assessed and evaluated as per policy and procedure.
- Coordinate nursing services to ensure that residents' total regimen of care is maintained.
- Prepare and administer medications as ordered by physicians.
- Ensure that an adequate supply of floor stock medications, medical supplies, and equipment is available to meet nursing needs.
- Administer professional services, including treatments such as catheterization, tube feedings, and applying and changing dressings.
- Complete and file required records, reports, and charts.
- Report and investigate allegations of resident abuse and misappropriation of resident property.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Active license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of New Jersey.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working as an LPN.
- Knowledge of electronic charting is a plus.
- Adaptable and able to manage competing priorities and crisis.
- Tactful and courteous with residents, families, practitioners, and others.
