We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at Actors Fund Home in Englewood, NJ.

About the Role

The successful candidate will provide direct nursing care to our residents under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. This includes assessing and evaluating residents' needs, coordinating nursing services, and administering medications as ordered by physicians.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure that all residents receive high-quality care and are assessed and evaluated as per policy and procedure.
  • Coordinate nursing services to ensure that residents' total regimen of care is maintained.
  • Prepare and administer medications as ordered by physicians.
  • Ensure that an adequate supply of floor stock medications, medical supplies, and equipment is available to meet nursing needs.
  • Administer professional services, including treatments such as catheterization, tube feedings, and applying and changing dressings.
  • Complete and file required records, reports, and charts.
  • Report and investigate allegations of resident abuse and misappropriation of resident property.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Active license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of New Jersey.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience working as an LPN.
  • Knowledge of electronic charting is a plus.
  • Adaptable and able to manage competing priorities and crisis.
  • Tactful and courteous with residents, families, practitioners, and others.
