The estimated salary for this role is around $80,000-$110,000 per year, depending on experience.

Job Description

As a Mechanical Engineer - Project Development Specialist at Clean Harbors, you will provide project management and coordinate activities of subcontractors and facility personnel assigned to various projects. You will develop capital projects lists for the facility and help create budget costs.

This role requires 1-2 years of engineering experience, preferably in an industrial or waste management industry. You must have a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited US university.

You will ensure that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes. You will also provide engineering support to plant maintenance departments and assist in obtaining necessary permits.

Responsibilities
  1. Develop and manage capital projects lists for the facility
  2. Create budget costs for projects
  3. Provide engineering support to plant maintenance departments
  4. Assist in obtaining necessary permits
  5. Coordinate project activities at the plant level
  6. Maintain control over project cost, construction, and project schedules
  7. Attend plant management meetings and provide engineering assistance
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited US university
  • 1-2 years of engineering experience in an industrial or waste management industry
  • Working knowledge of ACAD, Excel, and Microsoft projects
  • Able to meet physical requirements, including lifting 50 lbs.
