About the Role

Clayton Homes, a leading vertically integrated housing company, is seeking a skilled Mill Operator to join our team. As a Mill Operator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient production of high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate milling equipment to produce lumber, ensuring accuracy and quality.
  • Inspect finished products for defects and quality control.
  • Understand and adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
  • Interpret job orders and coordinate with production management.
  • Collaborate with forklift operators, saw operators, and other team members to achieve production goals.
Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds frequently and on occasion up to 80 pounds.
  • Ability to work in an outdoor environment subject to weather, noise, and dust.
  • Basic math skills and ability to read and write.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
