Summary
The individual will be involved in the manufacturing and assembly of tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures, which includes the creation of specialized projects and machinery.

Key Responsibilities
1. Fabricates and constructs components that are utilized in the assembly of dies, jigs, fixtures, and specialized projects/machines.
2. Evaluates specifications, arranges metal stock, sets up and operates machine tools, and fits and assembles parts to create and repair metalworking dies, cutting tools, and jigs and fixtures.
3. Analyzes specifications such as blueprints, sketches, models, or descriptions, and visualizes products to determine necessary materials and machines for part fabrication.

4. Confirms dimensions, alignments, and clearances using measuring instruments, including dial indicators, gauge blocks, thickness gauges, and micrometers.
5. Demonstrates the ability to fabricate and construct assemblies.
6. Accurately and efficiently assembles/tests products to meet customer quality standards and delivery timelines.
7. Interprets complex aerospace drawings and specifications.
8. Utilizes various types of fabrication equipment, conventional machine tools, precision measurement tools, and hand tools.

9. Understands assembly, bonding, riveting, and other processes related to tool shop tasks.
10. Positions parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements.
11. Executes basic assembly/test functions employing mechanical skills, hand and power tools, mechanical/electronic tools, test equipment, assembly fixtures, and inspection measurement equipment in a manufacturing setting.

12. Conducts touch-up or full surface painting of components with finishing materials such as paint, lacquer, and glaze. Mixes paint and cleans components. Must perform assembly techniques such as countersinking, applying rivets, reaming, and drilling.

Qualifications and Skills Required:
1. Ability to comprehend and execute detailed but straightforward oral or written instructions.
2. Proficient in assembly, bonding, composite materials, riveting, and other processes associated with tool shop tasks.
3. Knowledge of flight hardware, tooling, and ground support (close tolerance assembly integration).
4. Advanced mathematical skills (Algebra, Trigonometry, GD&T Math).
5. Experience in setting up and operating band saws, milling machines, lathes, surface grinders, hoist/crane equipment, etc.

6. Familiarity with hand tools (drill motors, grinders, basic measurement instruments, etc.).
7. Capability to lift and carry objects weighing between 15 to 50 pounds.
8. Minimum of six years' experience as an Assembler, including prior experience in an Aerospace/Manufacturing environment.

9. Requires the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
10. Ability to work occasionally in adverse weather conditions, including heat, cold, and rain.
