Job Summary

The LPN I is a vital member of the care team at The University of Vermont Health Network, providing high-quality care that is compassionate, consistent, and reliable for our patients, families, and units. As a key contributor, the incumbent is involved in direct patient care under the direction of a provider or RN, delivering technical nursing care to patients in varying states of health and illness.

Responsibilities
  • Provides clinical and administrative health care support services to patients and families according to knowledge, ability, and duties assigned.
  • Works under the direction of a provider or RN to deliver high-quality patient care.
  • Collaborates with the care team to ensure seamless delivery of care.
Requirements
  • Current LPN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the State of Vermont is required.
  • Less than two years of LPN experience, and less than 1 year of UVMMC employment, or
  • Two or more years of LPN experience, and less than 6 months of UVMMC employment, and does not meet criteria to become an LPN II.
