Position Summary: The individual in this role will be responsible for the setup and operation of various machinery utilized in the fabrication, stamping, production, and assembly of components across multiple departments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain equipment to ensure efficient production of components and assemblies into finished products.
- Monitor equipment performance to meet high standards of efficiency and quality, adhering to specified tolerances and work specifications.
- Conduct quality assessments of components and assemblies, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
- Manage inventory processes, ensuring the seamless flow of materials including raw materials, work in progress, and finished goods.
- Assist in training and developing new operators to enhance team capabilities.
- Follow production schedules and work instructions, selecting appropriate tools, equipment, and materials for tasks.
- Make necessary adjustments to machinery and processes to optimize operations.
- Utilize measuring instruments to verify that work meets specifications.
- Adhere to IATF and ISO standards, ensuring compliance with all procedures and processes.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, following company housekeeping and preventive maintenance schedules.
Qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited apprenticeship in a relevant trade or equivalent technical education or experience demonstrating advanced setup and operational skills.
- Strong safety mindset and commitment to quality.
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment.
- Adaptability to a fast-paced work setting.
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and problem-solving abilities.
- Self-driven with a focus on ownership of work quality and schedule.
- Willingness to embrace change to support operational efficiency.
- Proficient in using material handling equipment such as hand trucks and hydraulic lift trucks.
- Basic computer literacy.
