Job Summary:

This position is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a maximum security facility within the Texas Department of Criminal Justice. The successful candidate will possess a strong background in correctional custody and law enforcement, with a minimum of three years of full-time experience in a related field.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise employees and ensure the smooth operation of the facility
  • Enforce laws and regulations related to correctional custody and law enforcement
  • Collaborate with other departments to achieve facility goals and objectives
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure facility safety and security

Requirements:

  • Graduation from an accredited senior high school or equivalent
  • Three years of full-time experience in correctional custody or law enforcement, with one year of supervisory experience preferred
  • Substitution of 30 semester hours in Criminal Justice may be made for one year of non-supervisory experience

Salary and Benefits:

The salary for this position is $5,101.69, with a 3% Maximum Security Differential Pay (MSD) added to the base salary. The selected applicant will also be required to attend Principles of Supervision (POS) training prior to being assigned to a shift.
